just sales, for example, or sales and marketing. RDS provides you the flexibility
to select what you need at a process level (opportunity
management or lead management). SAP also provides an upgrade path to allow you to
access the full suite of SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM) application functionality. Additional processes from the SAP CRM application can then be added later as separate projects, if required.

- To enable the project team to implement and configure the scope of the SAP CRM Rapid Deployment solutions for sales, service, or marketing, two SAP CRM 7.0 systems must be installed and updated to service pack level 05.
- To customize the SAP CRM back-end, SAP's GUI for Microsoft Windows is required. End-users access SAP CRM via their local Web browsers. SAP CRM 7.0 supports Internet Explorer 6.0, 7.0, and 8.0, and Firefox (conditionally).
- SAP CRM Rapid Deployment solutions also enable integration with Groupware. SAP CRM 7.0 supports Microsoft Outlook 2007 and 2003 as Groupware clients. It is assumed that the groupware clients are installed on the end-user local computers.
- The SAP CRM rapid-deployment solution provides integration capabilities with an existing SAP ERP system, but requires a release level of SAP R/3 4.6C or higher.
